Our Story

We have been designing and making stunning furniture in our Lancashire workshop since 2006. We have developed a strong reputation for originality, quality and customer service. This reputation is something we treasure greatly and strive to build on. The business grew by designing and making exemplary bespoke furniture and by providing customer service to match. Bespoke is still the treasured core of our business and we relish the creativity involved in conceiving and bringing into existence original, stunning furniture.

We work closely with private and commercial clients, along with a range of world-class interior designers and architects to create our shared visions. For all our projects, we bring a high level of technical, constructional and aesthetic expertise which is greatly appreciated by our clients. We are a skilled and diligent small team of craftsmen who share in the responsibility of designing and creating fantastic furniture.

The trusted relationship we have with our clients and partners is one of our biggest assets; another is the vast experience of our team of makers; finally, our design philosophy of timeless yet contemporary. Basically, we love what we do and would be delighted to be given the opportunity to work with you and design something we can all treasure. If you like what you see, please get in touch to discuss the possibilities.

Our team

We are proud to have a longstanding small team of master craftsmen with a wealth of talent and experience between them. Meg, our workshop dog, is also a valued member of the PCF team and she enjoys meeting many of our clients’ dogs too!

Commissioning furniture: The Process

1

Initial meeting to understand you and your needs

The first stage is about getting to know you, your tastes, your practical requirements, aesthetics and your ideas. We’ll also take any key measurements and have an honest discussion about budget. We will discuss your preferences for materials, and any ideas you may already have. We’ll also consider usage and make suggestions at this stage as this may impact the design.
2

First design ideas and ballpark quote

For some projects, particularly where the client is unsure of the design direction, we can show initial ideas as sketches to help narrow down the design. This stage is not always necessary depending on the clarity of the brief and the scale and complexity of the project. Often, we can push straight on with Stage 3.
3

Detailed design and firm quote

At this stage, we will develop detailed CAD drawings. These will be an accurate representation of how the design will look in your room. Depending on the complexity of the design and detail, we may ask for a design fee – this will be discussed at Stage 1 if required.
4

Confirmation and deposit

Once you are happy with design, we will ask for confirmation and a deposit which will be between 30% and 50% at PCF’s discretion, depending on the scale and complexity of the project. At this stage, and only at this stage, your work will be scheduled with the team and an approximate delivery date agreed.
5

Making

We will begin making your furniture. By prior arrangement, you are welcome to visit the workshop and see the work in progress. All our furniture is made in our Ribble Valley workshop by our small team of master craftsmen.
6

Payment and delivery

Once the work is complete, we require the final balance and will arrange delivery/installation at a time that’s convenient to you.

Let's work together

Our website only showcases some of the work we have completed over the years. We’ve made bespoke gun boxes, display cabinets for car garages, carved benches in the shape of flowers and are currently designing a boot room for a luxury ski chalet! Please get in touch to discuss your project, we’d love to help.
